Meet the Cast

The Grumps

Emilie Smalls:

Arin Hanson

Angela:

Dan Avidan

Al Barnes:

Ross O'Donovan

Emilie is proud to be the writer/composer of Game Grumps the Musical, the first full-length show she’s ever written and a project that she developed pretty much on accident. She has performed in professional musical theatre several times in central Florida. She’d like to thank the Grumps for all the inspiration, and the cast for being some of the kindest, funniest, and most creative people she’s ever met. Also, she’ll hold out for the completion of the Dog Island playthrough until the day she dies.

Angela, 26, is proud to play the part of Dan and alter-ego Danny Sexbang in Game Grumps the Musical. This is her first foray into any kind of Real Singing, but has grown up with music her entire life, in ensembles through her school career which she both played and arranged music for. In her spare time she watches unholy amounts of anime, cooks delicious food, and does a bit of art. She'd like to thank her incredible support network for encouraging her and showing her love in all of her life. We're playing the Feud!

Al Barnes is a 16 year old sophomore from South-East Michigan and plays Ross in GGtM. Not fond of dancing, they are thankful they can participate in a musical without choreography, but even more so that they can continue singing outside of school choirs. They are an amateur voice actor, and enjoy experimenting with new voices, but their go to impressions are characters such as Monika, Ruby, and occasionally Grubba. They would like to thank Mrs. Badish, their former choir director, for teaching them everything they know, and the rest of the cast for offering their continuous and unwavering support. But most importantly, Al thanks Chloe, their dog, for being quiet when they record, as well as for being the best of girls.

Alex Csenar:

Barry Kramer

Alisha Bradley:

Suzy Berhow

Derek Nicewonger:

Brian Wecht

Ariel B:

Holly Conrad

Alex Csenar, 16, is a junior in high school who hails from Northern Illinois. He voices GGtM’s lead character and star of the show, the impeccable Barry Kramer, as well as mimes for Samurai Barry. This is his first experience with any musical project, but with how it’s gone, he’s sure there will be more. In his free time, Alex enjoys watching Star Wars, reading comics, and other typical geeky activities. Alex’s favorite musicals and main sources of inspiration are Beauty and the Beast, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier. He’d like to thank stand-up comics such as Louis CK and David Cross for shaping his sense of humor, and Alan Menken for giving him his passion for music.

Alisha is a cranky professional old person (aka 20-something) who has a degree in theatre and writing. She has been in several musicals including Urinetown, Nunsense, Oliver, Hairspray, and many more! When she isn’t singing show tunes and watching Marvel movies, she can be found watching 8 hour Grump compilations, bemoaning the fact that she can’t buy everything from Suzy’s Etsy shop, and singing Blonde Boyz with her husband and two dogs (the dog’s sing beautifully, the husband could use some work).

Derek, 22, lives in a small town in central PA. While his character may have a PhD, he scrapes by with a meager undergraduate in IT. He spends his free time playing video games, cramming in YouTube binges, and performing silly voices. He thanks his choir teacher Mrs. Parker for her instrumental role in inspiring his love of music, as well as voice actors such as Kevin Conroy and Rob Paulson for inadvertently encouraging his love of voice acting.

Ariel B is a 22 year old college student from sunny California playing the role of Holly! She grew up a Navy brat; she was able to travel all over the states as a kid. She has a passion to sing (being named after a princess definitely helped) and on her downtime, Ariel loves to draw and write stories. She would like to thank her friends from all over for their support to help her out of her comfort zone, her best friend Chloe and adoptive brother Chris for being by her side in good and bad times, her dogs for being the perfect companions, and her singing role models for helping her feel happy and loved in her own skin.

Brandi Kirkpatrick is a 23 year old masters student in electrical engineering down in Texas, playing a double role of the lower end of the vocalists and the Hero of Rhyme. Amusingly to her, she did not even know she could decently rap until sending a sample in as a joke during her audition. Outside of GGtM, she plays many video games, and does her own voice acting recordings to entertain her friends, if she's not busy writing more ridiculous lyrics to songs to make them funnier. Working on the musical project has helped Brandi immensely with working through some tough patches in her life, and she is incredibly thankful to have such a wacky and awesome group of lovelies to be able to fit in with.

Annika Olson is a 16 year old sophomore from South-East Minnesota: a writer/singer who likes to take an idea and turn it into a grand short story! She is a Top Soprano Vocalist in GGtM, with the capacity to hold out long notes. She is also skilled at choreography, performing in many of her school’s theater performances, her favorite being Annie. Her love of singing and determination brought her the courage to try out for GGtM. She would like to thank her mother for giving Annika her love of 70s and 80s music, Mrs. Bakken for inspiring her to try theater, and her best friend Derek for inspiring her to never give up in life.

Vic, 15, is our not so local Asian girl, and one of GGtM’s Alto Tenors. This is the first big fan project and musical she has taken part in, and she is happy that through it she has found a group of people with similar interests in music and entertainment. She writes poetry in her spare time, and is always willing to help friends with advice, or those in need of a good meme. Vic would like to thank the Grumps because they're genuinely nice and creative people. She'd also like to thank Emily, a kind and supportive friend she made through the musical who's also pretty good at hitting high notes.

Emily Pitts, 20, is a UK university geology student, excited to be one of the top sopranos in GGtM! She was part of her primary school choir, and was classically trained in an amateur youth choir from age 11-18. Emily has more recently been taking musical theatre singing lessons, soon to be moving to the popular music course. When she gets a break from studying and field work she runs a Let’s Play YouTube channel as Ninja Girl Emily. She would like to thank her singing teacher Alison, who has helped her to develop not only her singing abilities, but also Emily's confidence in herself over the past 6 years. Oh, and apparently this ninja isn't half bad at designing websites either!

Marisa Fernandez is a high school freshman, an amateur singer from New York, and is excited to be apart GGtM’s cast! She is a tenor/mezzo chorus member, with many years of school musical productions under her belt. This production is one of the first big projects she has encountered, and sees this production as a wonderful experience. For many years, Marisa has practised and honed her skills in music, learning various instruments and taking part in chorus, as well as creating original songs. In her free time, she likes to write stories, draw, and enjoy time with friends and loved ones. Marisa would like to thank her girlfriend Chloe, for encouraging her to audition for the production in the first place, and her cat Harley, for interrupting her recordings but also being a loving pal.
